Artistic Experience

1992-1995           Started serious stone art working at Enos Chengo Sculpting

                              Studio in Guruve District, Mashonaland Central. ZIMBABWE.

1995-2003         Joined the famous Tengenenge Art Community led by Tom

                            Broomfield. Mvurwi. Mashonaland Central. ZIMBABWE.

1997                   Exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in San Diego. USA.  

1999-2000         Worked at Edronce Rukodzi Studios. Chitungwiza.

                            Greater Harare. ZIMBABWE.

2002                   Invited to run a Stone Art Workshop in St Andreasberg in

                            Hannova, Germany as part of the African-German Cultural  

                            Exchange Programme

2004                   Formed Shona Art Centre (SAC).

                          

2005                   Exhibited at the Second Agio International Symbosium run in

                            Chitungwiza, Greater Harare. ZIMBABWE. Sponsored by

                            South Korea. Finished position 23 out of 100 in the competition.

2006                    Registered Shona Art Centre in Hatfield at 135 Airport Road                

                              Harare.                                

2006                  Exhibited at the African Millenium Foundation Travelling

                           Exhibition at Chitungwiza Art Centre, Greater Harare.

                           ZIMBABWE.

                           Exhibited at the Kirstin Dihl Competition at the Germany

                           Embassy in Harare. ZIMBABWE.

                           Exhibited at the Shona Stone Sculptors Exhibition, to fund-raise

                           for orphaned children in Zimbabwe, organized by the Canadan

                           Embassy in Harare in collaboration with ZIM-ART and the

                           National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe.

2008                  Ran stone sculptor workshops at Skulpturegalerie Sylt on Sylt     

                           Island in the Northern Sea, Into Africa Gallery in Nuremberg and

                           Atehier Rapp in Obervolkach, Franconia in Germany, teaching

                          German children of ages between eight and 15 years.

2010                 Exhibited under Shona Art Centre at the Sanganai Tourism Expo

                          in Harare, Zimbabwe, organized by the Zimbabwe Tourism  

                         Authority.                         

2012               Exhibited Culture Week at Town House in Zimbabwe.

2013               Exhibited at the Rotary Club in Harare Zimbabwe. Sponsored by

                        Brazilan  Embassy.Finished position 3 out of 30 in the competition.

 2014               I  joined the Chitungwiza Arts Centre

                       

2014                Exhibited at Harare International Festival of the

                         Arts (HIFA)

2015               Exhibited at Chitungwiza Arts Centre.

 

2015 to Date   Working with a group of established stone sculptor artists in

                          Zimbabwe including Vika Ngwenya, Singi and Andamiyo Chihota

                          At the Chitungwiza Art Centre, Greater Harare, ZIMBABWE.
